You can apply under the Family Scheme if you are related to UK-based relatives in the following ways:
- Spouse/wife, partner in a civil marriage.
- An unmarried partner (in which case you must prove that you have lived together and have been in a relationship for at least two years).
- Parents.
- Children.
- Groom, bride.
- Grandmothers, grandfathers.
- Nephews.
- Brothers/sisters.
- Cousins.
- Mother-in-law, father-in-law.
- Grandmother/grandfather on the side of the wife/husband.
- Brother/sister by wife/husband.
In extreme cases, applications from other family members will also be considered.
Your family member who lives in the UK must meet one of the following requirements:
- Have British citizenship.
- Be a resident of the country, have a permanent residence permit or other document confirming permanent residence.
- Be a citizen of the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland, permanently resident in the UK from 01/01/2021 or later.
- Have refugee status or be under humanitarian protection in the UK.
Once you are satisfied that you can apply under the family scheme UK visa, your next step is to complete the online form. In the online form there will be several questions about you, your family, as well as questions about security. The form must be completed in English.

- Valid foreign passport or officially renewed foreign passport.
- Documents confirming your relationship with relatives in the UK.
- Evidence that you have permanently resided in Ukraine.
All documents must be uploaded online. If you have documents in Ukrainian, they should be translated into English.
The positive aspect of this program is that those who have a valid or renewed passport do not have to submit biometric data before arriving in the UK. After your application is approved, you will be sent a special entry permit.
If you do not have a foreign passport or you have not been able to renew it, you will need to make an appointment at a UK visa application center in one of the countries of Europe to submit biometric data.
